2006. Painted ferro cement. Dimensions ranging in height from 240cm to 90cm.
Considering the extremely vast area of the site, and in order to link between its components, I decided to create a number of sculptures, each as a unique independent piece, yet all sharing the same theme as well a similar form. The sculptures are composed of figures and a ball in the midst of sportive activity. The figures, represented by organic branch-like structures, relate both to sport as a human activity, and to the outdoor landscape and greenery. Taller than people, the figures are integrated with the surroundings thanks to their airy quality. They are friendly, playful and somewhat humorous while capturing the spirit of competition and teamwork. The installation is composed of one sculpture with three figures and a ball, and three sculptures of two figures and a ball. Finally, for the playground area I have created a sitting place, integrating a seated figure holding a large egg, suggestive of maternity, and a bench supported by six balls; calm and pleasant environments for parents and toddlers.
